Question:
Im looking for some advice regarding trailer hitch ball mounts with sway control ball mount, as there appears to be a very limited ion. I have two tow vehicles, a 2016 Chevy Colorado and a 2015 Toyota 4Runner, which I use to tow a 2021 Nucamp T@B 400 Bondock. I would prefer to have an adjustable height hitch as there is a little difference in the hitch height of the two tow vehicles. Asking for recommendations. Thanks, Keith

Unfortunately ou will not be able to use a sway bar with an adjustable height hitch.
Typically we would recommend the Curt # D320 ball mount with the sway control tab already welded in place. This ball mount will provide 2" of drop. (For more information about ball mount drop or rise see the attached article.) Then on the trailer tongue side you install the Curt # 17200 Friction Sway Control System. Note that the system includes the tiny hitch ball that installs on the tab of the # D320 ball mount.
However, if a 2" drop is not exactly what you need then you will need to select a ball mount with the correct amount of drop. For instance if you needed 4" of drop then you would select the Curt # C93KR ball mount. But only the D320 has the welded on tab to connect the sway bar. No problem, the sway bar kit includes a spare sway control tab to weld on your different ball mount. Further, if your other vehicle needs yet a different ball mount, then you can purchase an extra tab by ordering the Curt # 3442.
The objective is for the trailer and tow vehicle be level when hitched. Curt recommends that the sway bar be level with the trailer frame +/- 3 degrees.
Just email me back if you need more recommendations for other ball mounts heights or additional parts for your second vehicle.
