Are Extra Diodes Required for Installing Custom Wiring Harness on a 2009 Grand Vitara

Question:

Hi just wondering how many diodes the TM786401 has 4 or 6? I am trying to get a harness with the suzuki Grand vitara 2009 connectors but I need the 6 diodes for seperate light working. I guess the 154-792-118158 is what I need but I really want the plug and play connectors Thanx

The TrailerMate custom wiring is set up as a combined wiring system, so it will use the main red lights on your vehicle for both brake lights and turn signals. You could think of this as being comparable to hard wiring with 4 diodes. This kit would allow you to have turn signals while towing the vehicle, but it will not use the separate turn signal bulb. The turn signals would work normally when you are not towing the 2009 Suzuki Grand Vitara.

If you do want the separate turn signal bulbs to light instead of having them come out on the brake light bulb, then you would have to hard wire using 6 diodes, using the # 154-792-118158 Roadmaster 6-Diode Universal wiring kit you referenced.
