Question:

Im looking for tires for my Karavan 8x8 open snowmobile trailer. I have 18.5x8.50-8 4ply tires that I want to replace. Can you suggest a tire or wheel and tire replacement. I also need to replace the leaf springs. Has 3 leaf now with radius end, abt 26 3/4 inches over all, abt 23 bolt to bolt. Thanks for your help.

We do have some 18.5 x 8.50-8 tires available with the Kenda K389 # AM40537 or a full wheel and tire with the Kenda 18x8.50-8 Bias Golf Cart Tire with 8" White Wheel part # AM90002. The wheels have a 4 on 4" bolt pattern, so you would want to make sure that your current hubs use that bolt pattern. These both come with a two year warranty and have a load range b rating which is sufficient for up to 815 lbs. While they say for golf carts, we have had people previously use them on small snowmobile trailers, but these do have a limit of 65mph as the safe travel speed.

For springs, the best potential fit would be the 2-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Radius End for 1,000-lb Trailer Axles - 24-5/8" Long # SP-177275, which are 22-11/16" from the eye bolt to the center of the radius arm; this measurement is shown as "B" on the attached photo. I recommend that you check the capacity of the axle and make sure you've got 1000-lbs axles; as long as you do, these would be the springs that I recommend using.

If you need a different bolt pattern on the wheel, let me know and I can see if we can come up with an alternate solution for the wheel and tire combo.
