Question:
Hi, I have an older Thule ski rack. The locks seemed frozen after a day of skiing and then the key bent trying to unlock both locks. It still works with effort but the locks seem to be moving in and out very easily. They are #N096 locks. Should I replace both locks and the key with another round of N096? Thanks

Before committing to changing the locks, you can first try spraying a lubricant like WD-40 or PB Blaster into the locks. If this frees them up, you'll just need a replacement key, part # THKEYN096. If that doesn't solve the problem, you'll need to replace the locks with part # THLOCKN096. If you don't have the change key that came with the rack, you'll need one to replace the lock core, it's available as part # 853-1251.
