There are a set of installation instructions included with the Curt Custom Wiring Harness, # C56120. I have also attached a link to the instructions for you to check out. The instructions even include photos of the installation process.
To install this wiring harness on your 2013 Ford Edge, you will need to gain access to the back of the tail light assemblies. This is done by removing two bolts that hold the tail lights in place. Once you remove the tail light assembly, you will see a black connector plugged into the assembly, about in the middle. You will remove the connector carefully so the locking tabs are not damaged. The connectors from the wiring harness will plug into the back of the tail light assembly and the original tail light connector will plug into the wiring harness at the teed ends.
The most difficult part of the installation is probably going to be routing the black power wire via the inline fuse to the vehicle battery. For this, I have attached an FAQ article that gives tips on routing the power wire. You will also want to take care when removing the rear scuff panel because it is held in with plastic tabs. Pulling too hard could break the tabs.
If you have any questions after looking at the installation instructions, just let me know.
