12 Volt Power Not Working on 7-Way Trailer Connector on a 2003 Chevy 3500 Express Van

Question:
12 volt power not working on 7 way plug on a 03 chevy 3500 van where should i be looking to solve this problem.Just got new trailer that needs 12 volt to charge trailer battery.thanks for all your help.

On some GM vehicles, there are some additional connections that need to be made under the hood to provide the 12 volt power to the 7-Way. We usually see this on trucks but it is possible that the full-size vans and SUVs could have the same problem. I have included a link to an FAQ that will help.
It is also possible that everything is hooked up under the hood but a fuse could just be missing or blown. You can consult the vehicle owners manual and/or the legend on the power distribution box lid for the location of the fuse related to the 12 volt power to the trailer connector.
