I had a follow up question to the following link about the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate RM-522204-5 Will this require any modifications to the grill or other areas or is it just a matter of removing tow hooks and installing base plate? I have the same setup 2020 dodge 3500 diesel and will be pulling with a Allegro Bus 45OPP. Do you have a recommendation for an installer in the Fort Worth, Texas area. Also if a choose not to install an air system braking set up what other option would you recommend? Would prefer to have something more portable in case I change towing vehicles.

Installing the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-522204-5 on your 2020 Ram 3500 will require you to remove the tow hooks from your truck as you mentioned, but will require some trimming to the plastic around where the tow hooks went through the bumper as shown in the included pictures.

I do not have a specific recommendation for an installer in Fort Worth Texas, but a qualified mechanic will be able to complete the install without any problems.

Moving on to a supplemental braking system it sounds like you are looking for the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TRwhich can be easily installed into your vehicle when you are ready to flat tow, and will be removed each time you are done flat towing. This allows the # BLU37TR to be used in a different towed vehicle without a complicated install.

For your 2020 Ram 3500 you will need the 12 Volt Outlet Kit # RM-9332 to power the Patriot # BLU37TR.
