Question:
I have a 285/70/17 tire. I was wondering if a snow chain size of 285/70/16 would fit my tire? Just different rim size.

The referenced # PW2028C snow tire chains are not a confirmed fit, however, the Titan Chain # TC2327 is a confirmed fit and the diamond pattern provides better traction in snow and ice than the standard ladder style chains.
While you are getting your safety gear set up you should consider the Orion # RN8907-01 Premium 70 piece roadside emergency kit, and the Savior # SA54FR LED roadside warning lights. The come in a pack of 3, last longer and are safer than flares. They can be placed at road edge to warn upcoming traffic or placed on your car for high visibility. After that, grandpa said to always put an old wool blanket in the trunk.
