Added Coil Spring Capacity Of Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs On 2008 Ford F-250/F-350

Question:

You guys have been great on some of my trailer parts in the past. I need to upgrade a 2008 and others but this is first to hold heavier plows. Is there a way to know how much lift or extra weight this will help a truck hold? Obviously, they look easier to install than a Timbern

I'm glad to hear the kind words!

The Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for Coil Spring Suspension # CSS-1069 will increase the coil spring capacity by 15% to 30% when installed. Since it is a part that works on multiple vehicle's there isn't a clear cut way to determine the exact weight or lift increase on your 2008 Ford F-250/F-350.

Since you are planning on using the truck to carry a snow plow, another option would be the Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement # TFF350SDC if your truck is 4WD, or # TFF350SD2 if your truck is 2WD.

The great thing about the Timbren options is they were designed for the front of your truck, and will provide 3000lbs of support to help carry the weight of your snow plows, and are my recommendation for you.

The installation on the Timbren's is really not that difficult, as it will simply replace the bump stop currently on your truck.

Keep in mind that any suspension enhancement will not increase the carrying capabilities of your vehicle, and are meant to help support your suspension.

I included videos to all of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
