Question:

I have a 2021 Forest river salem 263bhxl that has the full length gutter drip rail that runs the length of the trailer. How do I slide the new slide topper down the rail ?

The Solera # LCV000163285 attaches to the sidewall of your trailer using the "Awning Rail" included in the kit. I have attached a link to the installation instructions and on page 3 you can see part "L" which is the awning rail. On page four, fig. 4, you can see a close up picture of the part. On page 1 you can see where the awning rail is attached to the side of your camper.

When we are installing one we usually put the awning rail about 3" above the slider frame when fully retracted.

It's also a good idea to put TRC # 362BT-18x1-50 butyl tape on the back of the awning rail before screwing it on to resist leaks.
