if i use a red wire magnet in a yellow wire system what affect will it have on braking

I presume that you are referring to the color of the wires attached to the magnet.
The Redline Brand # BP01-265 Trailer Brake Magnet that you refer to just happens to have a white wire. The wires on any given magnet can be any color and it does not matter. Magnets should be selected by their size. In this case it is for a 12-1/4" brake assembly.
The wires connected to a magnet can be any color, and there is no polarity to how they are connected, and no change in performance.
If you were speaking of some other wires please advise and I will look into that.
