Fifth Wheel Hitch for 2020 Ford F-450 with OEM Rail Kit for Minimum BedRug Trimming

Question:

Trying to decide between BandW and Reese for 24k lb 5th wheel. Reese goes higher but requires a full rectangle to be cut out of BedRug. In viewing pictures it look like BandW will work with only cutting holes in BedRug for pucks. Please confirm.

I found and attached the picture you referenced of the Reese M5 # RP30922 which fits the OEM rail kit of your 2020 Ford F-450 where the slide in bed liner was cut in a larger square. In general it's a bit easier to just cut out the entire square of the bed liner but this hitch would actually be easier to cut smaller holes for just the legs than the B and W # BWRVK3305 that also fits your truck as this hitch has flat side plates that are the same height. With this hitch the bare minimum trimming would be to cut slots for each of the sides of the hitch but with the M5 you could get away with just 4 smaller squares.

I have a buddy of mine who went from a Companion hitch that he really liked to the M5 and he likes the M5 better overall. He said it was a little quieter and easier to use so it would seem to be the winner for you.
