Baseplate for 1989 VW Vanagon

Question:
Dear Sir /Madam im interested in your tow bar base plate for my vanagon however im not sure if this really would fit could you please advise which unit to use. I could the van and the year but my van is a 16 syncro so im not sure about the bolt position and the fact that the 16 has a skid plate which is also positioned on the frame your help is much appreciated thanks in advance kind regards

For your 1989 VW Vanagon, the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Fixed Arms # 1208-1 is a confirmed fit. I believe the Synco 16 has the same frame and bumper so that shouldn't be an issue but the skid plate location isn't clear from anything I can find online so that may need to be removed or adapted for fit.
