Question:
I see your dimensions photo, but I cant tell whether the bottom is too narrow to hold a Penobscot canoe 14-15 inches deep on its side. Any idea?

We do have an option for your Penobscot canoe, but after speaking to my contact at Swagman, he said the Swagman Tajo Wall-Mounted Kayak Storage System # S65146 you referenced would probably not be the best system for your canoe. The Tajo is made specifically for kayaks and he did not feel comfortable recommending it for your canoe.
My recommendation is the Malone HighRise # MPG323. It has a weight capacity of 150 lbs and is 20 inches tall, more than enough room to adequately hold your canoe. The bent paddle-style hangers have nylon sleeves to protect your canoe from scratches. All fasteners are included.
