Question:
Hi we have a 2019 GMC Acadia and bought it expressly to flat-tow behind a Winnebago View or Navion. The understanding is that the two are compatible. Weve towed before with a BlueOx set up on a different MH and toad and are experienced RVers. Wed like to explore the best, low-cost and simplest tow bar and baseplate option now available.

In order to flat tow your 2019 GMC Acadia, you'll need base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, a wiring solution, a supplemental braking system, a stop lamp switch kit and possibly a high/low hitch adapter if the height difference between the installed base plates and the receiver hitch on the motorhome is greater than 3 inches.
The parts I'm recommending offer the best balance between cost, reliability and ease of use. There are less expensive options available in each category, but the parts I'll recommended are all known to be compatible with each other.
For base plates, I'd recommend the # RM-523189-5 Roadmaster direct-connect base plates. A direct connect base plate eliminates the need for a crossbar, for a neater appearance and easier hook up/disconnect. For a tow bar, go with the Roadmaster Falcon 2, part # RM-525 and # RM-643 for safety cables. For wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode Kit, part # RM-15267.
For a newer vehicle that you're likely to hang onto for a while, I like a permanently installed braking system like the Roadmaster Invisibrake, part # RM-8700 as well as the # RM-751483 stop lamp switch. Once it's installed, it's instantly ready for use.
When the recommended base plates are installed on an Acadia at factory ride height using the stock tire size, the base plates sit 15-1/4 inches above the ground. If this is more than 3 inches higher or lower than the receiver height on the motorhome, you'll need a high/low adapter to bring it within that range. I've linked to our selection of high/low adapters, should you need one.
I've also linked to several demonstration/install videos that you might find helpful.
