Question:

Hello, The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Item #118546 looks great for my 2012 Fiat 500 Sport towed car. However, I also need to power a 12v DC cigarette lighter socket for Blue Ox Patriot II braking system 2amp. Can the #118546 be used with a 7-pin adapter for adding a wire to the Patriot II? Thank you

The Tekonsha T-One connector, part # 118546 is actually meant to be installed on your 2012 Fiat 500 so it can tow a trailer. It isn't meant to deliver the taillight/turn/brake lamp signals from your motorhome to the Fiat when it's being towed. In other words, the harness is meant to output taillight signals to a trailer, not to receive taillight signals from a motorhome.

To wire your Fiat 500 for flat towing, and also to power your Patriot II and keep the vehicle's battery charges as you're flat towing it, I'd recommend the following parts:

• Roadmaster Diode Kit, part # RM-15267
• Roadmaster 12-V outlet kit, part # RM-9332
• Roadmaster Charge Line Kit, part # RM-156-25

And if the 12-volt power supply pin on the 7-way of your RV isn't active, you'll also need # RM-156-75 installed on the motorhome.
