Question:
Can the Malone inflatable roof rack MPG452 be used with a 2017 Buick Verano with curtain airbags and a sun roof?. If not, what other inflatable roof carrier would work to transport a kayak? Thanks

From my research The Malone HandiRack Universal Roof Rack # MPG452 will fit on the roof of your 2017 Buick Verano, but in your owners manual it states that since you have the roof-rail airbags it is not recommend to use any roof mounted accessories that have a strap that goes through your door or window as it will block the airbag from being deployed.
Since all of the inflatable roof racks mount with a strap through your vehicle the only option is to install a roof rack is with the SeaSucker Monkey Bars # 298-SX6000B which will suction cup to your roof, just keeping it off of the sunroof, and gives you a 150lb weight capacity. However you'll need to check with the owner's manual to find the max capacity for your roof and and stay under that rating.
To secure your kayak to the Rhino Rack Roof Rack I recommend the Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier # S510.
I included a video of the SeaSucker and Kayak Carrier for you to take a look at.
