Do I need to bend any tabs on the nut retainer that comes with the drum kit or does it just clip on over the nut?

The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 3,500-lb E-Z Lube Axles part # 84546UC3-EZ uses a snap/clip around retainer to keep to nut in place. Check out the linked video that shows the exact process.
