The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Item # C55381 is not going to work on your 2006 Jeep Commander if you don't have the tow package wiring activated. Once activated it will work as it is designed to.
