I need to put gear that is 80 inches long in a cargo box. I’m driving a 2017 Toyota Camry. Can I do this safely? What box is most recommended?

For a longer cargo box that has a max internal length of 84-1/2 inches we have the Yakima SkyBox 12 Rooftop Cargo Box # Y07334 which would work great on your 2017 Toyota Camry as long as you have a roof rack installed on the vehicle.
For a roof rack the Rhino Rack Vortex part # RRVA118B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK321 is a really great option that is very high quality but also at a much better price than similar quality racks that fit your car.
