Question:
I currently have a Curt Q20 and working well in my long bed truck. My concern and reason to compare to the A20 is the release handle will interferre with the retractible metal roll up/ sliding tanau cover. I see the A20 has a flat horizontal handle which as ppears may work better in my situation. I see the A20 is the choice for a slider, which I dont have nir need. The A20 has interlocking jaws but Q20 does not The A20 does not have the 360 degree pivot as the Q20 states to have, as well the A20 has 1 pin for head removal as the Q20 has 2. I dont know any other differences but now I need to understand the differences in regards to the 360 deg pivot.... I have to think the A20 must have similar full pivot means. Please explain.... Thanks

The Curt A20 # C16140 and Curt Q20 # C16130 are very similar 5th wheel hitches with the A20 being the more recent and improved version. The major difference is the A20 has interlocking jaws to further secure your king pin as opposed to the Q20 jaw locking system that do not interlock. This interlocking design is intended to give you more king pin contact on all sides for less jarring and chucking. If the Q20 you have now is working well for you but you want an improved version with a quieter ride quality the A20 would be perfect for you.
The 360 degree head design that the Q series had didn't offer as much of a difference in ride quality or cushioning as you'd think. The A series will be easier overall to use and is quieter as well.
