What Size Pilot Hole do I Need to Drill to Install the Curt In Bed Custom Wiring Harness
Updated 10/21/2020 | Published 10/19/2020 >
Question:
What size hole must I drill to fit the well nuts into the side of the bed? I initially drilled 5/64 inch holes and used stainless self tappers.

When installing the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector part # C57008 you will drill a 7/64" hole at all four of the mounting holes. This is what is stated in the instructions and will be the best practice to follow.
When we do them here at etrailer sometimes we do not drill the pilot holes and it works for us but keep in mind I personally have done at least 80 of them so we are pretty practiced at it. I have included a video for you to check out of my buddy Ryan installing it.
