Question:
i have a 2020 GMC 2500HD AT4 with duramax diesel. i am pulling a GDRV 303RLS. i am experiencing a little more squat in the rear end then i was hoping for. the rear end is around 1 3/4inch to 2inch lower than the front with the loaded camper. i have been reading about air bags and how they can solve this issue. i was originally favoring the Firestone Ride Rite bags but have since shifted to the Air Lift Ultimate bags because of the internal jouce bumper. i have also read in some forums that Air Lift has excellent customer service. Which manufacturer would you recommend. also i am planning on doing the install myself and i do not have access to a lift. Thanks.

I can say that I've had good customer service experiences with both companies, but I think you've made a great choice with the AirLift Load Lifter 5000 # AL88341, simply because of the internal jounce bumper, which really makes a huge difference in the ride quality. These will do a great job of helping fight squat, and improve your ride quality while towing by helping absorb road shock; having the jounce bumper also helps in the event that one of the bags malfunctions and can't hold air since it will still work to support the vehicle until it can be serviced. I also really like this system since it comes with stainless steel mounting hardware, to help fight off corrosion and prolong the life of the components.
Since this system comes with manual inflation valves, you may want to consider adding a compressor system like the Air Lift Load Controller Compressor System for Air Helper Springs- Heavy Duty - Dual Path # AL25856. This will allow you to monitor the air pressure and inflate/deflate the bags from the comfort of your cab, and since this is a dual path system it allows you to inflate each bag to its' own specific air pressure which is helpful in leveling off center loads.
I've linked some review and installation videos of these parts for you to have a look at.
