Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56093 is a confirmed fit for all models of 2016 Ford Taurus except the police interceptors. With brake, turn, and flashers it shows you are getting the power on that wire, but with the running tail lights and license plate lights not working you are not getting signal from that constant power wire. that is the brown wire coming from the module. It sounds like the ground wire needs a better connection, so I recommend using some sand paper to clear any paint, rust or debris from a new ground location for a bare metal to metal connection.
