How to Make the 12 Volt Accessory Circuit Active on a 2004 Chevy Silverado 7-Way

Question:

I have a 2004 silverado 1500 with factory tow option . I installed a prodigy brake controler and it work fine, the problem is the cargo lights in the trailer don,t. We hooked it to my son-inlaw 2011 and the work fine. He also installed the same brake controler only newer. Mine was a plug and play, where his required some wires to be connected under the hood. Is there a power wire on my truck that needs to be connected? Thnks

Yes, there is a connection that will need to be made for the 12 volt accessory circuit of the 7-way on your 2004 Chevy Silverado active. This is the circuit that will power the cargo lights on your trailer. Check out the FAQ article I attached that details what you will need to do.
