The first step to troubleshooting your issue would be to eliminate any obvious causes. First, check your trailer connector for dirt or corrosion. Dirt and corrosion can prevent a signal from reaching the pin on the connector. If you see corrosion on the exterior of the connector, then it may be possible that the corrosion or dirt and penetrated deeper into the connector. I would recommend replacing the trailer connector if this is the case. Be sure you test each pin on the trailer connector with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 for proper function.

If the trailer connector is in good condition and if you have a factory tow package on your 1996 Ford F-350, then you may have a blown fuse for the left turn trailer light. There should be a legend on the lid of your fuse box that indicates which fuse is for the trailer lights. Check for any blown fuses that would be associated with the trailer wiring.

If you have an aftermarket wiring harness installed, then I would recommend checking the connections points where the harness connects to the vehicle wiring. Any loose or corroded connections could prevent a signal from reaching the connector.

i have a2002 32ft.gas mh on a ford frame .my r/v lights wook but have lost power to one side of my trailer plugin turnsignal i have checked the plugins @ the rear of the coach the m/h is adutch star by newmar thank you stanley p.

If you have checked the trailer connector on the back of the coach with a circuit tester, and it checked out fine, the next step is to trace the wires up. Checking for frays and loose grounds. If your coach has a separate turn/brake signal, often seen as amber turn signals, then there may be a converter somewhere like RM-732. If you locate that converter, check to make sure the signals are going in and coming out as they should be. Sometimes the connectors themselves will have corrosion build up inside, particularly 6 and 7-pole connectors. Check these connectors and make sure they are clear of corrosion or debris then use some dielectric grease, like 11755, to help keep moisture out.
