Minimum Pin Weight For Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Box

Question:
My 5th wheel has a pin weight of 1100 pounds. Is this enough for this pin box?

The Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Box # 325-GH-8040 you referenced has a maximum pin weight of 3,500 lbs and is recommended that there is at least 2,000 lbs of pin weight for the shock absorption to properly work. It's designed to replace Lippert 1621 and Lippert 1621 HD pin boxes.
So if your trailer has 1621, or 1621 HD pin box it will work, but you may not get all the benefits from the shock absorption since the pin weight is 1100 lbs. I attached a short review video for you to check out of the Pin Box.
