Question:
CAN A POWER INVERTER RUN THIS AC UNIT

Expert Reply:
The Furrion Chill Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Advent Air Setup - 13,500 Btu - White # FR82PV is run off of 115V, 60Hz or what most of us consider 110/120V or AC power.
A power inverter takes the DC electricity from the RV's battery (12V) and converts it to AC power (120V). That way all of your household appliances can run in your RV.
So the RV will need to be hooked to shore power, or have the generator and inverter running in order to power the AC. The AC unit does use 14.6 amps while running so you want to make sure that the circuit can handle that load as well.
