Expert Reply:
Your 2016 Jeep Patriot can be flat towed. Part # 521441-1 is a great baseplate and is pretty straight forward to install. For your braking system I recommend part # SM99251. This kit is a pretty in depth install, but it isn't hard. This kit is easy to maintain and there are a lot of good places to mount everything on your vehicle.
Other components you need to flat tow your vehicle include, diode wiring part # RM-15267, tow bar part # RM-522, and you might need a high low adapter depending on the height of the baseplate compared to the motor home's hitch. Once your baseplate is installed, measure the height difference between the baseplate and the hitch on the motor home. If the measurement is within three inches, you don't need an adapter. We do sell different height high low adapters to get that tow bar as level as possible.
