Can the Air Pressure in the Coil-Rite Air Springs Be Adjusted on a 2006 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE
Published 10/05/2012 >
Question:
I am towing a 900lbs tear camper and my wife and Dad are coming with me from ohio to texas. The last 3 trips have just been my wife and me, but with her, the luggage and the trailer, the back springs have been creaking. Not to mention its been riding lower in the back. With these helper springs, can I manually set them to like 25pps and then reset them back to 5pps depending on if Im towing or not?

Yes, you can adjust the air in the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs, # F4105, to decrease the air pressure when you are not towing. These air springs will be the perfect item to assist the rear suspension on your 2006 Nissan Altima when towing and having a fully loaded vehicle. Once the air springs are installed, you can run the air lines to the location of your choice and adjust the air pressure based on the driving situation.
I would recommend that you have your rear suspension inspected. The Coil-Rite springs are designed to work with rear suspension that is in good working order and not designed to make up for faulty or failing suspension.
These springs include all necessary installation hardware and I have attached a link to the installation instructions for you to check out.
