Troubeshooting Longview Tow Mirror Fit on 2020 Ram 2500

Question:
I just purchased the Longview Lo34FR mirrors for 2020 Ram 2500. The item I received is LVT-3120. When unpacked it looks similar to the LO34FR but it does not hug the mirror well and the hook that holds it in place goes thru the screw hole on the mirror at a sharp angle. Are these parts numbers the same? Why am I not getting a snug fit. Why are these mirrors not a snug fit on my 2020 Ram 2500?

The Longview Custom Towing Mirrors - Slip On - Driver and Passenger Side # LO34FR is our part number which is the LVT-3120 which is the manufacturer part number for the same part. It looks like most of the reviews we have are on 1500 models although the 2500 and 3500 should be the same according to the manufacturer.
The sharp angle you reference makes me think the pads aren't properly aligned because it should be a good fit with the hook and screw being a clean and direct fit without any weird angle.
