Since your 2000 Isuzu Trooper already has a 4-Way trailer connector (if it is different than a 4-Way let me know) so all you will need are 2 additional parts. First, you will need to add a 7-Way using # ETBC7. This kit also includes the wiring to wire in the brake controller.
The second part you will need is the brake controller itself. Brake controllers are not vehicle specific so you can use any one you choose. I recommend the Tekonsha P2, # 90885, because it is easy to set up and easy to use. I have linked isntructions for you.
I have also included some links that will show you how to install the ETBC7 kit.
