Recommended Trailer Wiring for 2007 Jeep Liberty

I have a 2007 Jeep Liberty I have a hitch but can not locate the wiring to plug my trailer into!!

For your 2007 Jeep Liberty, many people have a receiver for a bike rack or cargo carrier and have not added the trailer wiring which sounds like what you are finding. If your vehicle has the factory tow package, the harness you will need to connect to is found under the vehicle in the center behind your hitch receiver. If you have that tow package then you can simply use the Tekonsha # 118381 for a 4-Way or # 20135 for a 7-way. You may still need to add # 5506 on some models for 12v power and brake controller wiring.

If your vehicle doesn't have the factory tow package, then you can use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118524 for your trailer wiring. I've attached a video to assist with the installation. If you want to upgrade this to a 7-way you will need to hardwire the 12v power and brake controller using kit # ETBC7 in addition to that 4-way wiring connector..
