Mounting Roof Tray To Yakima Jetstream Bars
Updated 07/20/2020 | Published 07/12/2020 >
Question:
I read in the questions section for the black version of this that the mounting hardware supplied will NOT fit the slots of the Yakima Jetstream bars, is that correct? Watching the video, this is most likely due to the T slot bolts only. I am looking to purchase this basket due to its dimensions and the flat floor design I do not want a cage type basket. Would you happen to have the mounting hole dimensions? The distance between the hole in the mounting bracket on one side and the other? The outer dimension will fit my car and not interfere with the Yakima Front loader I also have on it but that mounting dimension would be massively helpful in making sure it will fit before I order it. Thank you.

The T-slot channel dimensions of the Inno Shaper 80 # IN568 are 7/8" wide x 7/16" deep and the channel opening is 7/16" wide. I have included some diagrams to help with the mounting dimensions. Without modifying the T-bolts it seems that we will not be able to get a fit.
We do have the Flat Floor Design Platform that will fit. The Rhino-Rack Universal Pioneer Platform # RR42114BF wraps around the bars. These tend to be a bit easier to install in my experience. This Platform will be a little larger than the Inno, but it will give you more space to load up your gear.
I've included a video if you wanted to check it out!

I just want to add this to this question thread. I have Yakima JetStream crossbars and just installed the Inno Shaper 80 on them with the included Inno hardware. The Inno T bolts will, in fact, fit in the slots of the JetStream bars. In fact, they are dimensionally identical to the Yakima T bolts. I ordered a Yakima T bolt set along with the rack. The Inno ones are the same: base plates, bolt diameter, and bolt thread pitch. Identical. I ended up returning the Yakima T bolt kit as it was unneeded.
