i kind a like this. will thismwork work with my lomax tri fold bed cover?

For your 2020 Toyota Tundra 5-1/2 ft bed without the deck rail system and a Lomax tonneau like the part # AB1050039 the best ladder rack fit for it will be with the Adarac Pro Series # A4001666 which installs through the top of the bed rails and allows the cover to fit easily with it. The uprights on the rack are totally vertical too which allows folding covers to easily have clearance.

will that ladder rack work with an overlander tent that mounts on top of the ladder rack?

Yes it would easily work to carry an overlander style tent as well.

That rack has angled in uprights which most likely affect the the covers ability to fold up to be perfectly honest.
