How To Choose the Best Size RV Charge Converter for a Trailer

Question:

Quick question. What would be a good system for a 4 battery 100 amp hour agm setup(400 amp hour agm). Right now I run a 30 amp charger on the agm setting and it works but not optimal. Any recomendations?

It can be difficult to recommend the perfect size converter for a trailer without knowing the true load. It is best practice to replace the converter with the same size that came from the trailer manufacturer. If you have increased the load as well as the battery bank capacity then it would indeed be worth looking into a a higher rated converter. The Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter part # PD9260C which is rated at 60 amps and AGM compatible could be a viable option for this large of a battery bank.
