Question:
Yakima Holdup? I think. I didnt lock the cable and it came loose and drug along the ground, ultimately bouncing the lock core out onto the road. I found it later and tried to re- it, to no avail. Purchased a control key. No joy. put the cable on the post thinking it might ... well, now I have a cable locked to the post, core doesnt work so totally hosed up. New cores? Help! Thanks

The core must be unlocked for the control key to work but it sounds like there has been some damage so replacement is going to be your best option, the Yakima Same Key System part # Y07202. If the cable mechanism was damaged then you'd also need the Replacement Cable Lock Assembly for Yakima HoldUp Bike Carriers part # Y8890284.
