Question:
I am finding that there arent replacement parts for this model. Mine is welded into, not over see pic. If i cut it out, would the Titan bolt into place or weld in or is there a different model designed to replace this type of configurations. BTW, the boat is about 3800 lbs and the trailer another 1000ish so the actuator is overkill at 8000lbs...i would think. just need something that fits!

Expert Reply:
We do have one a-frame coupler, part # DM8609502 available and it is rated for 8,000 pounds, I think this would be the best fit for your trailer. The Titan coupler that you referenced is designed to bolt directly on a the trailer tongue.
This is a weld on coupler and fits trailer with a 50 degree a-frame, which is the most common angle for a-frame trailers, and has a 2 inch trailer ball coupler.
If you were to cut out your existing coupler, this one should weld on over the a-fame of your coupler. It is primed to prevent rust so to weld it on you would need to prepare both surfaces as needed.
