Im going to purchase a Saris Bones bike carrier. Do I need any special adapters for carrying a womans bike. Also what do I need for a locking device?? thanks

For a women's, child's or alternative frame bike there is an adapter needed for the Saris Bones 2-Bike Rack # SA805BL.

What you will need is a bike frame adapter bar to give those bikes a vertical mounting point and I recommend the Hollywood Racks Bike Frame Adapter Bar # HRBA-PRO because it adjusts from 15-13/64" to 28-13/16" long which is longer than most bars.

Then for locks, you can lock your bikes and rack to your vehicle with the 8' Cable Lock and lock Loop for Saris Trunk Mounted Bike Racks # SAR52FR.
