Question:
I am going to install this on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, what wire should I tap into for the brake trigger on the Tow Pro? I installed the Mopar 7 pin harness and plug so I have the blue wire figured out, but I am confused on the brake trigger. The Tow pro instructions mention using the brake terminal on the trailer lighting socket but from the diagrams on a 7 pin I dont see a brake light terminal. I ony see a combination of L or R turn and brake.

The stoplight circuit you need to run to the red wire of the Tow Pro Elite part # RED44FR will not be found at the rear trailer wiring connector as the stoplight circuit is combined with the turn signals like you mentioned.
So what you'll need to do is use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test all of the wires that run to the brake pedal switch behind your brake pedal until you find a circuit that has voltage only when the brakes are applied. This would be the easiest place to use but you could also run to the third brake light of the vehicle as well.
