Roof Rack Recommendation to Secure Roof Cargo Bag on a 2017 Nissan Rogue

Question:

2017 Nissan Rogue no factory side roof rails installed naked roof what do you recommend? it will be used to strap a soft cargo bag to the vehicle. Thank you

I recommend going with the Rhino-Rack Vortex roof rack system on your 2017 Nissan Rogue because it uses aero-style crossbars for a quieter ride plus you can leave them on all the time (except when going through an auto car wash) and they will compliment the looks of your vehicle as they are the newer style of crossbar. The parts you need for this setup include the following:

49" Vortex Crossbars # RRVA126B-2
2500 Series Legs - # RRRLKVA
Fit Kit - # DK396

The legs come with locks to secure the roof rack to your vehicle and the crossbars come with plastic locks to help secure any T-Slot accessories. These can be upgraded to metal lock cores with part # RRVA-LEC4 but since it sounds like you'll just be using this for tie-down points for your cargo bag I wouldn't worry about upgrading these.
