1 have a 2020 Grand Design 295RL FIFTH Wheel with the Lippert 90 degree turn pin and my truck is a 2016 Chev 2500 gas with the 6.5 bed. My question is do I need a slider to safely tow this fifth wheel?

The Lippert Turning Point Pin Box can be used on a short bed truck with fixed fifth wheel hitch, the pin box rotates so a sliding fifth wheel hitch is not needed. I recommend the Curt A16 for a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, it's one of the best value options as the dual jaws form a very tight grip and the head can be removed at the pull of a pin for easy loading/unloading.
If you have the factory prep package, you'll need Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000 lbs # C16515-16025 but if not you'll need Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000 lbs # C16115 with part # C16411-204.
