Question:

Will Thule towers fit on Yakima artificial rain gutters? I have a Thule rack system and box but just got a 1987 VW camper with Yakima wide body artificial rain gutters already mounted. Thanks!

I have a solution for you, but the Thule foot packs that attach to rain gutters like the # TH65BJ are only designed to fit on the Thule Artificial Rain Gutters # TH542. The Thule Rain gutter feet do work with most Thule crossbars, so you wouldn't need to get new bars in most cases, just the gutters and foot pack.

With that say, if you wanted to use what's already there you can instead swap to Yakima Rain Gutter Towers # Y00101 and the Yakima Round Bars 48" # Y00408. Most roof boxes are compatible with round bars, so you'll still be able to use your existing box, just not the Thule roof rack kit.
