Question:
Hi, I have a 2017 Kia Sportage with flush rails and was planning to get a roof top tent, like a Tepui lowpro 2. Is the Rhino Rack Vortex SX able to support the tent? Thanks.

According to Rhino Rack, their available roof rack for your 2017 Sportage that uses the # RRSX023 roof rack feet isn't rated for a roof top tent.
The good news is that Yakima has a rack that would work. The rack would consist of the following parts:
50 Inch CoreBars, part # Y00421
RidgeLine Towers, part # Y00145
RidgeClip fit clips, part # Y06021
The rack would have a 600 lb static capacity (while the vehicle isn't in motion) which would be perfect for a roof mounted tent.
