There is a dealer in Florida that specializes in old Cherokees. I am looking at a 1993 Cherokee base model, 4 cyl, 5 speed, 2WD. The old 1993 Motorhome flat tow guide says 4x4 only. Why? Maybe Jeep wanted to sell more 4WD. I had planned to buy a fixed hitch kit from you and weld up a custom bumper with the tabs.

I'm not sure why a 1993 Jeep Cherokee 4WD only can be flat towed, though it may have to do with the transmission gearing in that model; I don't think it had to do with sales but couldn't tell you for sure. You can flat tow the manual transmission 2WD or automatic 2WD with the drive shaft disconnected.
