Could I not go to a 14’ ? And manual operation? It’s confusing what is all parts is needed.

A 12 foot wide powered awning like the # LCV000334919-362241 which comes with everything needed would be a great choice for a 16 foot cargo trailer like you have. The projection of the awning is 9 foot 8 inches too which will give you quite a bit of shade. I attached an install video for more info on this as well.
