Adjustable Height Ladder Rack Recommendation for 2014 Toyota Tacoma with Deck Rail

Question:

Hi, Im trying to help my husband, a contractor, a rack for our 2014 extended bed, crew cab 2014 Toyota Tacoma prerunner sr5. The main purpose for the rack is to carry a very long ladder for reaching roofs of 2-story houses. The ladders can be longer than 16foot even when collapsed. He also, ideally, would like a rack that is either easy to take on and off is that even possible? so that when he doesnt need to carry the ladder, he can stow the rack or rails somewhere else. One concern is the overall height of the vehicle with the rack. Will it clear the open garage door? There is a 12 inch separation between the roof of the cab and the bottom of the garage door. Also: I dont know what you call it, but there is a sort of c-channel thingamagig on the inside of each side of the bed of the truck, along the top of the bed wall. Each c-channel thingey has two tie-down basesinch that can be loosened and moved along the channel. Photo attached. I dont know if this channel thingey will interfere with mounting a ladder rack.

For your husband's 2014 Toyota Tacoma with the deck rail system the best choice we have for a ladder rack is the adjustable height Yakima Overhaul HD part # Y01151-5868 which installs easily and gives you a ladder rack you can adjust high enough for your longer ladders but the can also lower so it can fit in your garage.
