Solution to Activate Reverse Lockout Solenoid of Surge Brake Trailer Being Towed with Front Hitch
Updated 05/06/2020 | Published 05/05/2020 >
Question:
I own a Titan Model 10 surge brake actuator on my boat trailer with a reverse lockout mechanism. Due to tight parking, I sometimes need to use my front tow hitch to get more precise. Question: Is there a device to allow me to engage the the brake lockout mechanism when I reverse the trailer on my front hitch? Thank you

This is a really good question. Probably the best solution would be to wire a 5-way to the front of your truck like with the part # HM37908. Run the blue wire to your positive battery post and then the white to the ground and whenever it's plugged into your trailer the reverse lock out solenoid will activate and allow the trailer to move.
