Can a 30 Amp to 50 Amp Dogbone Adapter Be Used On Trailer with 30 Amp Surge Protector

I have an RV with a 30 amp service. I also have a 30 amp surge protector. Camp site only has a 50 amp shore power connection. Is it ok to use an adapter dog bone between the 30 amp surge protector and the 50 amp shore power.
