How Does Trailer Tire Fit Fulton Fender # F008595 Fit Tire Size ST205/75R15
Updated 04/16/2020 | Published 04/15/2020 >
Question:
Hello! The dimensions shown for this part list the width at the top as 6.7. I dont think a 15inch trailer tire would fit inside of the front lip and not hit the splashguard/ inside wall if that were the true dimension. Perhaps that is the width of the step? I would like to know the inside width from the outside lip at the top, to the back wall of the fender. Can you double check that for me as my ST205/75R tires are over 7inch wide. Thank you n advance

Trailer tires aren't supposed to fit really tightly into fenders when on trailers like maybe you'd see on a motorcycle. Normally there's at least 4 inches between the tire and the normal trailer suspension deflection is 1-1/2 inches so even when the suspension is fully compressed you'd still have several inches between the tire and the fender. This is how the narrower dimensions of the Fulton fender part # F008595 is able to work with the tire size you have.
